Union Square Park

We are staying right across from Union Square, so Grandma and Alana pretty much go there every day. It was insanely nice for a summer in San Francisco last week, as you can tell. Here are some super cute pics Grandma took in the park. Alana's new thing is to say "Oh" all the time. Hence the "oh" face!

Alana got to meet her Great Aunt Teri last weekend. Aunt Teri came to visit her old digs and hang out with Alana & Grandma. The ladies had a blast!

First Crawling Pics!

Here is the very first time I saw Alana crawl. It was actually almost out of nowhere! She just popped right up on her knees and got moving. There were a few face plants in the mix, but she did great. Poor gal--she is practicing her crawling on a sheet in a hotel! We will be home soon, though! (except I have to leave for one more week...but I am in denial!).

A Cold 4th of July

We actually had the 4th of July off, so we all hit SF for some fun on the 4th of July. As you can tell by mine & Alana's hair--it was windy! Her hair is getting SO long! I am trying to train it to have a good part, but it is a challenge. Thank goodness for hair clips.
We ditched the fireworks, figured the cold air and loud banging noises were probably a recipe for disaster with a tired 7 month old.

Crawling CUBS fan

Alana has learned to crawl! It was a quick transition, but pretty much a few days after she got here, she became a crawler (I will post more of her first crawling later!). As you can see below, she is crawling like a champ and is now pulling herself up too. Scared that walking is just around the corner!!!

Erik arrived and we all took her to the Cubs v Giants game in San Francisco. Clearly I dressed her in my likeness! She was not too thrilled with the game until after she got a snooze!

Out & About in SF--Gay Pride Parade

The Gay Pride Parade took place our first weekend in SF. Grandma & Papa took Alana to the parade to check it out. Apparently the floats and costumes were fabulous. Alana seemed to enjoy herself too! According to Grandma, there was a nude man standing next to them the entire time. Good thing she is too young to remember that!

Grandma and Papa graciously agreed to take Alana out to San Francisco so she could stay with me while I am out here for trial. Here is the semi frequent flier jamming out to the ipod (not really!).

6th Month Shots

I am clearly WAY behind in blogging....I will update with all of her new developments, but thought I would start by including some cute pics on her 6 month bday--May 22, 2008! At 6 months, Alana was eating all sorts of food and just starting to prop herself up on her knees and sway back and forth. We were starting to sense that mobility was right around the corner.
