The Great Alana Relocation Project

What feels like our long journey in getting Alana's big girl room all set up is ALMOST complete! We are not quite done yet, mostly because I am waiting on a few things I ordered, but her room is looking so cute! It's been nice because she can play in her room and start to get used to it. We ordered some blackout blinds for her windows which HOPEFULLY result in her sleeping past 5:30 am. That has been brutal!

Her new bed is all set up and she was elated to see it with all her favorite Disney Princesses. Thank GOODNESS I found a set that had Snow White, too. I have a feeling it would have been disastrous if Snow White was no where to be found...

Girls Weekend in NOLA!

Just got back from a much needed girls weekend in New Orleans with Alicia, Sonya & the Jackie Club. It was much needed and always a great time. Jackie & Alicia were troopers dealing with us preggo chicks, though we held our own, too. We did not experience the wild & crazy side of New Orleans since 2 of us were non-drinkers, but we had a ton of fun! The best memory HAS to be Alicia jumping out of her seat when England scored, thinking it was the US. That was hilarious. Can't wait til the next time, ladies!

Despite slacking on my blogging, I have not been slacking on my picture taking. Here are some pics from a fun day at the park. No one loves this swing like Alana!

Alana still insists on calling baby sister "Waffle," so I guess that's still a front runner! We are working on getting her new "big girl princess room" all set up. We have LOTS to do over the next few weeks to get Alana all set up in her new room and get all the baby stuff moved into Alana's soon-to-be old room. I will post some pictures as soon as it is all finished!!

New Haircut...

So, I've been a little behind on my posting. But, now that I have stolen the mac book from Erik, I can finally post some pictures! Alana got her second official "big girl" hair cut right before we left for Hawaii. She LOVED it!!

More Hawaii!

Here are a few more pics of our Hawaii trip. I miss Maui already. As you can see, it was a pretty low-key trip!!!

Aloha!!!

We ventured off to our last vacation as a family of 3! What a great trip we had to Maui! Alana was a LITTLE cranky at first--I think it must have been jet lag! But, once she got used to island time, she loved Hawaii. It was a pretty laid back vacation, which was maybe by necessity since I was about 28 weeks preggo and Alana is 2.5. Erik tried to rage it out going surfing and snorkling and running. At least somebody was more active! We mostly went to the beach or the pool (or "cool" according to Alana!), enjoyed the sunset and relaxed! We stayed at the Westin Maui for the first few nights, then moved to a condo on the ocean. I never thought I would grow to be a condo person on vacation, but it is SO much easier! Alana even had her own room and slept in a big girl bed all night. It was great! Overall, it was an awesome vacation and we are all ready and excited for our new arrival!!!

Alana's highlight after the beach had to have been holding a real bird, Peanut. She was ecstatic and still talks about him all the time.
